First Time Guide

Bring a VALID state issued ID or a valid passport

You’re going to have to check in with someone at the front before you’re able to shop.  If you don’t have a valid I.D. with you, that’s as far as you’ll get.  Bring your I.D. every time, it’s required in the State of Colorado as it is in all states where you can purchase marijuana.  Until marijuana deregulation happens at a federal level, the industry will continue to primarily be a cash business. Sorry for the inconvenience

Be Patient and Give Patients Space

Due to dispensaries now serving recreational customers 21 and older. There may be some new customers coming that have never shopped before. Some that have a million times. It’s important for those new customers to remember that cannabis is used as a medicine for a lot of people.  The information being shared with the bud-tender may be sensitive; give the person ahead of you the same space you would at the pharmacy.

Respect the Bud-Tender

The budtender will extend the same respect to you, that you show them and the other customers in the store. Remember they are the ones handling your order and they can refuse business to anyone that is disrespectful or rude

Trust Your Nose

Each marijuana strain has its own unique  profile, and each strain’s profile will even be unique to the cultivator or grower.  If it doesn’t smell right to you, your body probably won’t agree with the effects; regardless of what the label tells you it will do.  The smell of cannabis is directly related to organic compounds called “terpenes.”  The compounds are what carry all the aromatics, as well as the taste.  If it doesn’t smell good, move on to the next strain.

Say Thank You

If you had a fantastic experience at the dispensary, start by saying thank you to the bud tenders and managers. If you were really happy with your experience please leave a review. Yelp or Google reviews are rewarded with positive karma and maybe a free joint. We love the all the support we can get!  It’s a great way to thank the dispensary as we rely on user reviews to bring in new customers like yourself.

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD for short, is one of over 100 or so chemical compounds derived from the Cannabis plant. These chemical compounds are called cannabinoids – and CBD, in particular, is a cannabinoid that has been heavily researched for its many therapeutic uses. CBD oil is simply oil that contains high concentrations of CBD. These oils vary in concentrations but are most commonly made for human ingestion.

AS mentioned, research studies have shown CBD to have a wide variety of health benefits. Here’s a list of those benefits:

Anti-inflammatory and Pain Management

Numerous scientific studies have proven that cannabinoids, especially CBD, have anti-inflammatory effects. CBD and other cannabinoids interact with the endocannabinoid receptors through the human body, reducing inflammation systemically. Due to the fact that inflammation is an integral part of so many diseases, the therapeutic potential of an effective and natural anti-inflammatory is nothing short of impressive.

Anti-anxiety and Stress Relief

Anxiety relief happens to be one of the most common uses of Cannabis and CBD across various cultures for thousands of years. Multiple animal and human studies have shown CBD to consistently reduce anxiety.

Epilepsy Treatment

After various research studies provided great evidence for CBD’s ability to effectively treat Epilepsy, the FDA recently approved CBD as a therapy for two types of rare and rather serious epileptic seizures. This 2018 FDA approval marks a huge milestone for CBD in the medical community.

Depression and Mood Disorder Treatment

Serotonin, a chemical messenger known to act as a mood regulator, often appears in lower than normal levels in those suffering from depression. CBD has shown to restore balance to the serotonin system through enhancement when levels are too low.

Cancer Fighter

A 2015 Scientific study analyzed 84,000 male patients in CA, finding that cannabis users (those ingesting cannabinoids on a regular basis) experienced a rate of bladder cancer 45% lower than the norm.

Sleep Disorder Treatment
A scientific study in 2014 treated four patients suffering from REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD) with CBD. RBD causes patients to lose muscle relaxation during REM sleep, leading to an unsound night’s sleep. All four patients treated with CBD experienced a prompt and significant reduction in the frequency of RBD-related events.
